Drama Teacher – High-Performing School in Hillingdon

Location: Hillingdon, West London

Position: Drama Teacher (KS3 / KS4, optional KS5)

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent / Long-term

Start Date: January 2027 (or ASAP)

Salary: Outer London Pay Scale (MPS1 – UPS3: £34,514 – £51,179+)

We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and inspiring Drama Teacher to join a brilliant, thriving secondary school in Hillingdon with a vibrant Performing Arts department.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an passionate educator to cultivate confidence, self-expression, and artistic talent across the school. The department boasts exceptional performance facilities and a strong tradition of high-quality extracurricular productions and showcase events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-energy Drama lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (A-Level / KS5 available for suitably qualified candidates).

  • Prepare students for GCSE Drama performance exams, portfolio work, and written evaluations.

  • Lead, direct, and coordinate school plays, showcases, and lunchtime/after-school drama clubs.

  • Build student confidence, communication skills, and collaborative teamwork across all key stages.

  • Relevant degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, Performing Arts, or a related field.

  • Proven experience delivering GCSE Drama with strong outcomes.

  • Full right to work in the UK.
