Our Client is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and creative Art Teacher to join a school in Harlow on an ASAP basis. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to inspire students through a broad and engaging Art curriculum, encouraging them to experiment with different techniques, develop their own creative identity and build confidence in their artistic abilities.
The role will involve planning and delivering stimulating Art lessons across the relevant year groups, assessing practical and theoretical work, and providing constructive feedback that helps students develop their skills. The successful teacher should be able to demonstrate strong subject knowledge and an ability to create an environment where students are encouraged to explore ideas and take pride in their work.
The department is looking for someone who can combine creativity with strong classroom organisation and clear expectations. Lessons should be suitably differentiated to support students with varying levels of experience while providing sufficient challenge for more advanced pupils.
Alongside classroom teaching, the successful candidate will be encouraged to contribute to exhibitions, displays, enrichment activities and the wider creative life of the school where appropriate.

Experience and Qualifications
Art Teacher with strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for creative education.
Ability to teach Art across the relevant secondary age range.
Formal teaching qualification with QTS, such as a PGCE.
Experience planning and delivering practical and theory-based Art lessons.
Ability to assess creative work and provide constructive developmental feedback.
Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
Ability to differentiate activities for students with varying levels of ability.
Creative, enthusiastic and committed approach to teaching.
Legal ability to work within the UK.
