Lift & Escalator Operations Support - Office Based - Canary Wharf - £45,000 \n

\nCBW Staffing Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a leading property and estate management organisation for a Lift & Escalator Operations Support professional to join their team at a major commercial estate in Canary Wharf.\n
\n
\n This is a varied role supporting the Lift & Escalator Services Manager in ensuring a large portfolio of lifts and escalators remains safe, compliant, reliable and operating to a high standard.\n
\n
\n The role would suit someone with experience in the lift and escalator industry, or a related building services environment, who has a good understanding of technical operations but also enjoys the coordination, contractor management and administrative side of facilities.\n

What You'll Be Doing Health, Safety & Compliance\n
- \n
- Support compliance with Health & Safety legislation, statutory requirements, CDM and permit-to-work procedures. \n
- Review contractor RAMS and assist with permit approvals. \n
- Maintain records relating to LOLER inspections, audits, defects and contractor performance. \n
- Support the management and updating of the lift and escalator asset register. \n
Asset & Service Management\n

- Monitor contractor call-outs, repairs and equipment restoration. \n
- Maintain accurate asset, defect and maintenance records using SharePoint and other systems. \n
- Carry out routine inspections and condition assessments of lifts and escalators. \n
- Monitor planned maintenance programmes, contractor attendance and service performance. \n
- Help identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, availability and overall service delivery. \n
Contractor Coordination\n
- \n
- Coordinate contractor activities and monitor performance against agreed standards. \n
- Track actions arising from inspections, audits and defect reports. \n
- Support major repairs, refurbishments and modernisation projects. \n
- Work closely with contractors, engineering teams and internal stakeholders to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently. \n
Reporting & Administration\n
- \n
- Keep accurate records of maintenance visits, inspections, repairs and contractor documentation. \n
- Maintain departmental trackers covering defects, emergency responses and works in progress. \n
- Prepare KPI reports, dashboards and operational performance information. \n
- Support meetings, record actions and follow up to ensure they are completed. \n
- Assist with purchase orders, invoices and expenditure monitoring. \n
Emergency & Operational Support\n

- Provide support during lift and escalator breakdowns, equipment failures and passenger entrapments. \n
- Attend site inspections alongside management and contractors when required. \n
- Support engineering teams in maximising equipment availability and minimising downtime. \n
- Assist with any other reasonable duties required by the Lift & Escalator Services Manager. \n
What We're Looking For\n
- \n
- 3+ years' experience within the lift and escalator industry or a related building services environment. \n
- Good understanding of lift and escalator systems, LOLER requirements and industry standards. \n
- Strong organisational and administrative skills. \n
- Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office and SharePoint. \n
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. \n
- Good technical awareness and understanding of safe working practices. \n
- Comfortable coordinating contractors and managing multiple tasks at the same time. \n
- A proactive approach with good attention to detail. \n
