Electrical Wiring Technician\n
Location: Hertfordshire / Essex border area
Salary: £18–£22 per hour, depending on relevant experience
Hours: 40 hours per week

We are recruiting for an Electrical Wiring Technician to join an established engineering company on a permanent basis.
The Role\n
The successful candidate will be involved in the manufacture and wiring of control panels and electrical equipment, including skid-mounted systems.

Key responsibilities:

Wiring and assembling control panels from electrical drawings and schematics
\n - \n
Drilling and fitting electrical control equipment
\n - \n
Wiring skid-mounted equipment including valves, pumps, heaters and instrumentation
\n - \n
Terminating electrical cabling and pneumatics
\n - \n
Bench testing control panels
\n - \n
Fitting pneumatic equipment
\n - \n
Electrical reassembly of systems on site
\n - \n
PAT testing and basic electrical stock control
\n
Requirements\n

Some previous experience in electrical wiring, controls or panel building
\n - \n
Ability to read and understand basic electrical drawings
\n - \n
Basic panel wiring knowledge
\n - \n
Comfortable using hand and power tools
\n - \n
Good practical/workshop skills
\n - \n
Reliable, organised and able to work as part of a team
\n
\n
Desirable but not essential: experience with P&IDs, PLCs/HMIs, fault finding, skid-mounted equipment or site-based electrical work. A full driving licence would also be advantageous.
\n
This is a permanent, full-time position offering £18–£22 per hour, depending on relevant experience, with 40 hours per week.
