HGV Class 1 Car Transporter Driver

Southampton | OTE £60,000+ | Full Training Provided | Permanent Role

\n Manpower is recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 Car Transporter Drivers for a leading vehicle logistics company based in Southampton.
\n This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Class 1 drivers looking to develop a career in vehicle transportation. No previous transporter experience is required, as full training will be provided.

The Role

\n As a Car Transporter Driver, you will be responsible for:

\n

\n
• Operating 11-car transporters across the UK
\n
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
\n
• Completing vehicle deliveries and collections nationwide
\n
• Carrying out vehicle inspections and reporting any damage
\n
• Completing all relevant paperwork and compliance documentation
\n
• Delivering excellent customer service at dealerships and collection points
\n

\n

Routes vary throughout the UK, covering locations from Cornwall to Scotland and across Wales, the Midlands, London and the South East.

Working Pattern

• Monday to Friday tramping
\n
• Average working day of approximately 12 hours

• Overtime available
\n
• Start times vary depending on route and operational requirements

• Weekend work is very rare and generally offered on a voluntary basis
\n

Requirements

\n

\n
• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
\n
• Driver CPC qualification
\n
• Digital Tachograph Card
\n
• Applications welcomed from both newly qualified and experienced Class 1 drivers
\n
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
\n
• Transporter experience beneficial but not essential
\n

\n

Licence endorsements and points will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

• Truck loading demonstration
\n
• Hands-on vehicle loading assessment
