Head of Procurement - UK & US
Hybrid UK (London preferred)
Salary: Competitive + Bonus + Pension
£150m of spend. Two major markets. A clear opportunity to drive value in a private equity-backed business.
An international business services organisation is seeking a Head of Procurement to lead its UK and US procurement operations.
Following recent acquisitions, the business offers a compelling platform for a commercially driven leader to strengthen procurement capability, leverage greater scale and deliver measurable value.
The opportunity:
Reporting to the Global Head of Procurement, you'll lead the UK Procurement, US Regional Procurement and Business Services teams, with responsibility for approximately £150m of spend across IT, Professional Services, BPO, Facilities and HR Services.
You'll translate global priorities into regional delivery, building a consistent procurement approach while recognising the needs of each market.
In a PE-backed environment, your contribution will be visible: bringing spend together, improving supplier performance and translating commercial opportunities into sustainable results.
Your remit will include:
Defining and delivering the UK and US procurement strategy.
Leading and developing teams, strengthening capability and accountability.
Aggregating demand, rationalising suppliers and leveraging regional and global buying power.
Delivering savings and cost avoidance through strategic sourcing, demand management and robust commercial challenge.
Strengthening supplier relationships, contract management, governance and third-party risk.
Improving procurement processes, technology and spend visibility.
Advising senior Finance, Operations, IT and HR stakeholders, securing early procurement involvement in business decisions.
The acquisition backdrop adds a further dimension: the opportunity to identify overlapping spend and fragmented supplier arrangements, helping turn business growth into procurement value.
What you'll bring:
You'll be an established procurement leader with a track record of delivering measurable commercial results within an indirect, services or outsourcing environment.
You'll combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, bringing:
Experience leading procurement teams across multiple geographies, ideally including the UK and US.
Strong category management, sourcing and complex negotiation expertise.
Credibility with senior stakeholders in an international, matrixed organisation.
A clear understanding of supplier governance, contract management and risk.
The ability to use data to prioritise opportunities and demonstrate value.
CIPS membership or an equivalent professional qualification is desirable.
Why make the move?
This is a substantial international leadership role within a PE-backed organisation, offering the scope to develop the function and demonstrate procurement's impact on cost, performance and resilience.
