The role
We are seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to support daytime transport operations in Birmingham. This temporary position offers £18 per hour, with a minimum of 8 hours paid.
Key responsibilities
• Driving HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and responsibly
• Completing deliveries and collections in line with scheduled routes
• Carrying out vehicle checks before and after journeys
• Ensuring loads are secured and handled appropriately
• Completing delivery paperwork and transport records accurately
• Maintaining compliance with road safety and transport requirements
• Providing a professional service at collection and delivery points
Skills and qualifications
• Valid HGV Class 1 licence
• ADR Packaged qualification
• Previous HGV Class 1 driving experience
• Good knowledge of road safety and vehicle checks
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious approach
• Clear communication and professional customer service skills
• Ability to follow instructions and complete required documentation
