CNC SLIDING HEAD ENGINEER - WEST BYFLEET, SURREY Job Title: CNC Sliding Head Engineer Location: West Byfleet, Surrey Reports To: Production Manager Role Overview Our client, a leading precision engineering company, is currently seeking a CNC Sliding Head Engineer to join their dynamic team. The candidate should possess prior experience in programming, setting and operating multi-axis Sliding Head machines. While it would be beneficial to have experience using Star machines, it is not a mandatory requirement. Our client is looking for someone who is enthusiastic and willing to contribute to the team's growth. The role will include: ⦁ Programming, setting and running Star Sliding Head lathes ⦁ Adjusting existing CNC programs to ensure accuracy and optimise efficiency ⦁ Programming of new jobs on and offline ⦁ Maintaining a level of self-inspection throughout a batch ⦁ Machining parts to tight tolerances with precision and accuracy ⦁ Working effectively as part of a team to achieve production goals and maintain a smooth workflow ⦁ Assisting the production staff in any other tasks that may be required to maintain production efficiency ⦁ Managing workflow/schedule of jobs It is also essential that the applicant is happy to work on different machines depending on where they are required.
