Job description
Morson Edge is pleased to be supporting our client in looking for a part-time HR Generalist to join their UK HR team in Langley on a temporary basis.
You will provide day-to-day HR support to employees and managers across a range of HR activities, including employee queries, HR administration, payroll, benefits, onboarding and offboarding.
You will be a key point of contact for employees and managers, helping to resolve HR queries and ensuring HR processes are managed accurately and efficiently.
This is a part-time opportunity of 3 days a week which can be determined upon offer.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for employee HR queries.
- Manage day-to-day HR administration, including contracts, employee changes, holidays, absence and documentation.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Provide HR advice and support to managers and employees.
- Support employee relations matters, including performance, flexible working and redundancies.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are kept up to date and comply with UK employment legislation.
- Manage relationships with external payroll and benefits providers.
- Support the monthly UK payroll process, including checking payroll reports, coordinating with payroll providers and preparing payroll journals.
- Monitor payroll and HR deadlines to ensure payments and processes are completed accurately and on time.
- Support HR projects, process improvements and HR system updates.
- Keep HR information and SharePoint pages up to date.
- Support internal HR communications and local employee events.
- Provide support to the wider HR team and HR Business Partners.
- Carry out other HR duties and projects as required.
About You
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar HR role.
- Good knowledge of UK employment law and HR practices.
- Experience supporting payroll and working with external payroll providers.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- A high level of attention to detail.
- The ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- A practical, problem-solving approach.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A customer-focused and proactive approach.
- A willingness to improve processes and learn new systems.
