The Opportunity

We are recruiting for an experienced Landscaping Contracts Manager to join a well-established and growing facilities and grounds maintenance business.

\n

This is a field-based position managing a portfolio of landscaping and grounds maintenance contracts across Hampshire and surrounding areas, with sites extending from Southampton towards Reading.

The role has been created following continued company growth and a restructure within the department, offering an excellent opportunity to join the business at an exciting stage of its development.

\n

Reporting to the Head of Landscaping, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day operational and commercial performance of your contracts, managing landscaping teams, subcontractors, client relationships, budgets and service delivery.

\n

This isn't a heavily sales-focused position. However, you'll need to be commercially aware and comfortable identifying additional works and opportunities within existing client relationships.

\n

Previous experience within the landscaping or grounds maintenance industry is essential, alongside experience managing teams and working to operational and financial targets.

\n

Key Responsibilities

  • \n
  • Support the Head of Landscaping with bids, tenders and contract reviews
  • \n
  • Monitor contract expenditure, budgets and profitability
  • \n
  • Assist with forecasting and monthly financial reporting
  • \n
  • Work to agreed operational and financial targets
  • \n
  • Liaise with foremen, ground staff, subcontractors and the service desk
  • \n
  • Monitor training requirements and help develop the horticultural knowledge of landscaping teams
  • \n
  • Ensure depots and yards are organised and compliant
  • \n
  • Maintain Health & Safety and Environmental standards across all contracts
  • \n
  • Support the introduction of service improvements and new ways of working
  • \n

\n

Requirements

\n

    \n
  • Previous landscaping or grounds maintenance industry experience is essential
  • \n
  • Minimum two years' operational or contract management experience
