Role Overview
A welcoming secondary school in Croydon is seeking an experienced organized and proactive Senior Administrative Officer to join their busy main office team this key operational role you will oversee day-to-day administrative functions manage pupil records and provide line management support to junior administrative staff. Working alongside the Office Manager and Senior Leadership Team you will play a crucial role in maintaining smooth school communication statutory compliance and efficient front-of-house operations.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day office operations delegating administrative tasks and supporting the development of administrative staff.
Maintain accurate pupil database records using school information management systems (e.g. SIMS Arbor) including admissions attendance and reporting data.
Act as a key liaison for internal and external communications managing complex enquiries from parents staff local authority representatives and visitors.
Support senior leadership with school event coordination calendar management official documentation and regulatory compliance.
Assist with office procurement inventory monitoring and liaison with external facilities suppliers.
Key Requirements
Proven administrative experience in a senior or supervisory administrative role ideally within a school or educational setting.
High proficiency in educational management software (SIMS Arbor or similar) and advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
Exceptional organizational skills multi-tasking abilities and keen attention to detail under fast-paced working conditions.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a professional customer-focused approach.
Good knowledge of school administrative procedures data protection (GDPR) and safeguarding practices.
