Job Description

Service Care Solutions is working in partnership with a local authority, based in Warwickshire, which is looking to recruit an experienced Chief Officer for Legal and Governance. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for providing strategic legal, governance and democratic leadership across the Council.\n

Role: Chief Officer for Legal and Governance\n
Location: Warwickshire – hybrid \n
Umbrella Rate: £950per day\n
PAYE Inc. Rate: £826.13per day
\n Contract: 6 months\n
\n
Key Responsibilities: \n
\n

\n
• Lead Legal Services, Democratic Services, Elections, Business Support, and Equality & Diversity.
\n
• Act as Monitoring Officer, advising Members and officers on governance, constitutional and legal matters.
\n
• Lead the development and implementation of the Council’s governance operating model.
\n
• Oversee democratic processes, including elections, scrutiny, Council and committee meetings.
\n

Key Requirements: \n
\n

\n
• Significant experience in legal, governance or democratic services.
\n
• Experience as a Monitoring Officer, or the ability to undertake the statutory role.
\n
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams at a senior level.
\n
