Job description

We are seeking Senior Quantity Surveyors to support our clients pivotal projects. This role is instrumental in delivering end-to-end commercial and cost control services for transformational projects that support the UK's energy transition strategy. This position is on a full time, permanent staff basis. This particular project will be working within Transmission and Distribution and will be mainly remote with some travel required at times. Key Responsibilities * Lead full-cycle cost management across project lifecycles—from tendering and procurement through to contract negotiation, cost control, and final account settlement. * Administer NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4 preferred), overseeing valuations, change control, and cost variance coordination. Pre and Post Contract experience is essential for this position. * Provide robust forecasting, monitoring, and reporting of cost performance; ensure accurate and timely financial insights. * Drive value engineering and cost optimisation strategies in alignment with project and client needs. * Establish and maintain strong relationships with client teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes. What You'll Bring * Extensive experience in cost management or quantity surveying within energy, renewables, hydrogen, transmission and distribution or carbon capture * Degree or HNC qualification in Quantity Surveying or a closely related discipline. * Strong commercial and contract management skills, especially within NEC frameworks. * Track record in consultancy environments or client-facing roles, capable of steering project success. * Self-motivated, proactive, and adept at managing multiple stakeholders in dynamic delivery settings. What's On Offer * A front-line role in high-impact energy programmes * Structured career support, including mentoring and professional development pathways * A supportive, flexible working culture focused on inclusion, and maintaining a healthy work–life balance. * A competitive package with hybrid working and long-term progression opportunities.
