Senior Quantity Surveyor
£65,000 - £75,000 + package
London / East London

A leading UK infrastructure and civil engineering contractor is looking to strengthen its commercial team with a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a major depot project in East London.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced QS to take ownership of a significant package of works, working closely with the Project and Commercial teams across the full commercial lifecycle.

The role:

  • Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of allocated packages
  • Lead valuations, applications, variations and final accounts
  • Monitor project costs, forecasts and financial performance
  • Manage subcontract procurement and commercial relationships
  • Identify and maximise commercial opportunities
  • Work closely with project delivery teams to ensure commercial performance
  • Support the wider commercial team and contribute to project strategy

About you:

  • Strong experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor
  • Background in civil engineering, infrastructure or major construction projects
  • Strong NEC contract knowledge
  • Confident managing subcontractors and commercial negotiations
  • Good understanding of cost control, forecasting and change management
  • Able to work independently while operating effectively within a project team

This is a long-term opportunity with a contractor delivering major infrastructure projects across the UK, with genuine scope for career progression.

Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 + package
