Shift Manager

Location: The Pizza Factory, Nottingham

Working Hours: 6AM-6PM, Week 1; Wednesday to Saturday, Week 2; Thursday to Saturday

Salary: Highly Competitive + Excellent Numeration and Benefits Package

About the Role

As Shift Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day operation of B Shift across our Pizza Toppings site, leading a team of 6 x Front Line Managers who oversee key production and logistics functions.

You'll play a pivotal role in maintaining operational excellence while continuing to build a positive, engaged, and high-performing culture. This position requires a leader who can balance people development with operational delivery, ensuring teams are motivated, supported, and consistently achieving results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of 6 Front Line Managers, providing coaching, support, and direction.
  • Drive a strong culture of engagement, accountability, and teamwork across the shift.
  • Ensure operational targets relating to safety, quality, output, and efficiency are achieved.
  • Champion health and safety as a core part of daily operations, embedding best practice throughout the team.
  • Monitor performance data, identify trends, investigate root causes, and implement effective improvement plans.
  • Lead problem-solving activities and drive sustainable solutions to operational challenges.

About You

We're looking for an experienced production leader who values people as much as performance. You will have a proven track record of managing teams within a manufacturing, FMCG, or food production environment and understand how to create a culture where individuals and teams can thrive. You'll be naturally curious, challenge existing processes, and use data to drive meaningful improvements.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a Shift Manager or similar leadership role within a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong people management, coaching, and development skills.
  • Proven ability to lead through engagement and influence.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Experience managing operational performance against key metrics.
