Steatite, part of the Solid State Group, is looking for a Finance Manager to join our Leominster business during an exciting period of change and development.
Working closely with the Finance Controller, you will have a broad remit across management reporting, forecasting, budgeting, financial controls and commercial support. This is an opportunity to do more than produce the numbers, you will help the business understand them and use them to drive better decisions.
What you will be doing
- Preparing monthly management and Group reporting, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow reporting
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Providing financial insight to support operational and commercial decision-making
- Preparing balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations
- Supporting VAT, taxation and statutory reporting requirements
- Managing payroll and pension administration with our external provider
- Supporting the continuous improvement of financial controls, processes and ways of working
- Assisting with ad hoc projects and business initiatives as required
What we are looking for
You will be a proactive, organised and commercially aware finance professional who enjoys taking ownership and working closely with colleagues across the business.
Ideally, you will bring:
- ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualification (or be working towards qualification)
- Experience in management accounting, financial reporting and budgeting
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Experience of ERP systems
- A flexible, hands-on approach and willingness to support a growing business
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Experience within a manufacturing environment, multi-currency business, or with Epicor and/or Microsoft Dynamics would be advantageous.
