Quantity Surveyor

Our client is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing Cost Management team, supporting the delivery of a diverse range of projects across the public and private sectors.

The Role

Working alongside experienced Chartered Surveyors and Project Managers, you will support the delivery of a full range of pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying services across a varied portfolio of construction projects.

• Preparing cost plans, estimates and tender documentation
• Measurement and valuation of construction works
• Producing cost reports, financial forecasts and commercial updates
• Assessing variations and supporting final account negotiations
• Supporting procurement and contract administration activities
• Monitoring project costs, budgets and commercial performance
• Liaising directly with clients, contractors, consultants and project stakeholders
• Working across projects using JCT and NEC forms of contract
• Taking responsibility for key aspects of project delivery
• Supporting fee bids, case studies and business development activities

About You

• A RICS-accredited Quantity Surveying degree
• Experience delivering or supporting pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying services
• Experience preparing cost plans, estimates and cost reports
• Knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
• A proactive and collaborative approach to project delivery
• Commitment to achieving or progressing towards MRICS status
