Salary Guide: Six Figures + Bonus + Benefits

REF: JD54097

Description

Our client provides critical technology and telecoms infrastructure across Europe and Asia, where it holds leading positions in its core markets, offering world-class services to a host of Blue Chip clients. The business is extremely well capitalised, with an aggressive growth strategy over the next 5 years.

This Head of Corporate FP&A role is responsible for the coordination of an action-focused, integrated group planning process, from short-term liquidity forecasting through to long-term projections to support corporate planning and transaction activity such as joint ventures, refinancing and M&A.

The role will partner across all commercial and operations teams to understand the drivers of recent trading performance, commercial pipeline, cost management, deployment of Capex and KPIs. This overview will allow the Head of Corporate FP&A to coordinate forward-looking action-based plans that will optimise performance. The new Head of Corporate FP&A is also responsible for driving the execution of ad hoc projects, identifying opportunities for process improvement and acting upon these to realise efficiencies.

Skills

Specific responsibilities of a Head of Corporate FP&A will include:

  • Ownership of all Group and Board reporting.
  • Coordination of all forecast and planning processes, along with preparation of associated deliverables for the Executive and Board.
  • Acting as a commercial business partner to the leadership team, proactively bringing insight through ad hoc analysis, deep diving into key issues, scenario analysis, etc.
  • Ownership of transaction activity, such as refinancing, acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures, as well as working with key stakeholders to define and articulate the Group strategy.
  • Ownership of the new planning and reporting tool, further developing the system to embed insightful reporting and fully connected planning.
  • Leadership and development of the high-performing Corporate FP&A team.

The successful candidate for this Head of Corporate FP&A role will have gained experience in another international group of scale, either currently working in FP&A or with significant time previously spent in a Group FP&A role. Exposure to and involvement in transactions would be highly advantageous, including M&A, JVs and refinancing, whether gained within another FP&A role or from time previously spent in an advisory role.

Experience as a commercial business partner would be extremely beneficial, but as a minimum, all candidates must possess highly developed interpersonal skills in order to influence at all levels across the business. Some form or prior team management experience is essential, to develop and lead a successful FP&A function. Any experience or exposure to systems implementations or systems development and improvement projects would be an added bonus, as the finance team seeks to drive further value from technology.

This is a high-profile opportunity to work for a highly successful, growing, innovative and entrepreneurial company that is looking to embark on the next stage in its growth story in an extremely dynamic sector.
