Vehicle Technician

Are you a qualified Vehicle Technician looking for better earning potential, manufacturer training and genuine career progression?

Join a long-established, manufacturer-owned automotive group where you'll work in a professional dealership environment, receive ongoing technical training and have access to a highly competitive benefits package — including a company car scheme.

What you'll get

  • £35,000–£42,500 basic salary, depending on experience
  • Bonus and overtime opportunities
  • Additional payments for MOT Testers
  • Company car scheme with access to up to two cars, including insurance and servicing
  • 22–26 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Up to 7% employer pension contribution
  • Staff discounts on cars, servicing, MOTs, tyres and parts
  • Toolbox insurance
  • Health Cash Plan
  • Mental health and wellbeing support
  • Manufacturer training and recognised technical accreditations
  • Dedicated Technician Upskill Programme
  • Clear opportunities for career progression

About the role

As a Vehicle Technician, you'll carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs, working to manufacturer standards and delivering a high level of workmanship.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
  • Completing first-time fixes wherever possible
  • Carrying out vehicle health checks and video reports
  • Keeping colleagues updated on job progress
  • Working safely and efficiently within the workshop
  • Maintaining a clean and organised working environment

What we're looking for

You'll need:

  • NVQ Level 2 or above in Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or an equivalent qualification
  • Experience working as a Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician or Motor Mechanic
  • A full UK driving licence
  • A professional approach and commitment to high-quality workmanship

MOT Tester qualification is an advantage, but not essential.

Experience with manufacturer brands is useful, but specific brand experience isn't essential. Full training and development are available.

Newly qualified technicians are also encouraged. We have opportunities for technicians looking to develop their skills and build a long-term career.

Why join us?

You'll be joining a manufacturer-owned automotive group with over 100 years of UK heritage and 95 franchise locations.

The business invests in its technicians through manufacturer training, technical accreditations and dedicated development programmes, giving you the opportunity to build your skills and progress your career.

If you're looking for a Vehicle Technician role where your skills are recognised, your development is supported and there is a clear route to progress.
