The Opportunity
Puro Associates are working with an established legal aid firm who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Family Solicitor with 10+ years' PQE.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced private family solicitor to join a small existing team and play a key role in developing and growing the firm's Private Family Law department.

The successful candidate will have the experience and autonomy to take ownership of their caseload, while also having the opportunity to help shape the future growth of the department.

The Role

You will handle a varied private family caseload, with a particular focus on:

• Private law children matters
• Divorce and separation
• Financial matters
• Advising clients throughout their family law matters
• Managing your own caseload from instruction through to conclusion
• Negotiating and representing clients where required
• Building strong and lasting client relationships
• Working closely with the existing team and support staff
• Helping develop and grow the Private Family Law department

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• 10+ years' PQE
• Strong experience in private family law
• Good experience across private children, divorce and financial matters
• A strong understanding of the legal aid environment
• Excellent client care and communication skills
• The ability to manage a caseload independently
• Strong technical knowledge and sound judgement
• A proactive approach to business development and departmental growth
• The confidence to work at a senior level

The Team
The Family department is currently small, with a highly experienced Legal Executive, trainee support and a pool of secretarial support.

The firm is keen to grow the Private Family Law department, making this an opportunity for an experienced solicitor to have a genuine influence on its future direction.
