Manufacturing NPI Engineer
We are working with a leading, well-established manufacturing business in Barnsley who are seeking an experienced NPI (New Product Introduction) Engineer to join their dynamic engineering team.
The Role
As the Manufacturing NPI Engineer, you will:
- Lead NPI projects from initial concept through to full-scale manufacturing.
- Liaise closely with design, production, and quality teams to ensure smooth product launches.
- Develop and optimise manufacturing processes for new products.
- Produce and maintain detailed process documentation, including PFMEAs, control plans, and work instructions.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and quality enhancement.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience in an NPI or manufacturing engineering role within a production environment.
- Understands lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Is confident in process development, tooling specification, and production readiness.
- Has excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ideally holds a relevant engineering qualification (HNC/Degree or equivalent).
