Overview
We are seeking an experienced Acquisition Safety & Environment (ASEP) Engineer to support Land Systems and Platforms programmes within a highly regulated defence environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering safety engineering activities, safety assurance, hazard analysis, and safety documentation while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and standards.
Key Responsibilities
Generate, review, and maintain technical safety requirements and safety documentation.
Develop and manage Safety Management Systems and Safety Assurance Plans.
Conduct hazard identification, risk assessment, and mitigation activities.
Produce and maintain safety cases, hazard logs, and safety artefacts.
Provide technical safety engineering advice to project teams and decision-makers.
Support safety verification, validation, testing, and evaluation activities.
Ensure compliance with safety legislation, policies, and engineering standards.
Present safety recommendations and findings to Project Safety Panels.
Manage contractor-delivered safety activities and requirements.
Support equipment disposal and decommissioning safety activities.
STEM qualification (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) at RQF Level 4 or above.
Extensive experience delivering Safety Engineering or Acquisition Safety Engineering outcomes.
