Job description

Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LPFT) is rated as an outstandingly well-led Trust by the CQC and is committed to innovation and transformation. To bolster our efforts and continue to provide high quality, patient focussed services, we are seeking a Specialty Doctor to join the Older Adults Community Mental Health (CMHT) team based in Spalding. We are looking for a doctor who is passionate and committed to the development of older adult psychiatry, who is able to support the service by providing compassionate and high-quality care.

The role is full-time at 10 PAs per week.

We are interested in hearing from anyone who is interested in a flexible working pattern, which would include job share, compressed hours and part time working. As the role will entail travel across the county and potential home visits, it is integral that the postholder is able to travel via car, due to limited public transport.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support and advice to CMHT covered by the Consultants catchment area which includes Spalding and part of Stamford CMHT
  • Provide support and advice Liaison/Intermediate care referrals from the Johnson Community Hospitals which are picked up in the first instance by the liaison nurses.
  • Conduct outpatient clinics, both on a regular basis and ad hoc as required.
  • Home visits throughout the geographical area, as required depending on the needs of the service
  • Attend CPA/S117 reviews for patients under the care of Consultant.
  • Attend CMHT meetings once a week where new referrals are discussed and management plans are discussed as a part of wider MDT. In line with New Ways of Working the trust is supporting model of nurse led clinic for dementia diagnosis.
  • Take an active part in medical and clinical audit within the service.
