Test Operative - Immediate start.
We are working alongside one of our clients based in Abingdon, Oxford who are looking for a Test Operative to join their team on a temp to perm basis.

The Test Operative is responsible for carrying out testing and inspection activities on products, components, and sub-assemblies to ensure they meet required specifications, quality standards, and performance criteria before release.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform testing and inspection of products, assemblies, and individual components in line with engineering drawings, technical specifications, and established testing procedures. \n
- Use a variety of testing equipment, tools, and documentation to verify product performance and compliance with required standards. \n
- Work in a structured, organised, and efficient manner to achieve production and testing targets within set deadlines. \n
- Accurately complete all test records, quality documentation and production paperwork as required. \n
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and other departments to support the smooth operation of production activities. \n
- Maintain high standards of quality throughout all testing and inspection processes. \n
- Follow all company procedures, work instructions, and quality management requirements. \n
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and contribute to a safe and organised working environment. \n
- Investigate and rectify faults identified during testing activities where appropriate, ensuring corrective actions are completed to the required standard. \n
- Escalate complex faults, quality concerns, or non-conformances through the appropriate channels. \n
- Support continuous improvement activities by identifying opportunities to enhance testing processes, product quality, and operational efficiency. \n
- Take responsibility for ensuring tested products are approved and ready to progress to the next stage of production. \n

\n Skills & Experience
\n
- \n
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, testing, or quality inspection environment is desirable. \n
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical documentation, and test procedures. \n
- Experience using testing equipment, measuring instruments or diagnostic tools would be advantageous. \n
- Understanding of quality standards and inspection processes within a manufacturing setting. \n
- Ability to identify faults, investigate issues and carry out basic corrective actions. \n

- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work. \n
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage workload effectively. \n
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet production deadlines. \n
- Competent record-keeping and documentation skills. \n
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. \n
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. \n

Working hours: Monday-Friday, 39 hours.
\n Pay Rate: £13.75p/h
