Location: Wadhurst, East Sussex\n
Start Date: January 2027\n
Contract: Full-time, Maternity Cover\n
Pay: £32,000 – £51,000 per annum (MPS1 – UPS3, dependent on experience)\n
\nTeach South Kent are working with a well-regarded secondary school in Wadhurst who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Geography Teacher for a full-time maternity cover position starting in January 2027.\n
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher looking for a new role from January, joining a supportive department and contributing to the continued development of Geography across the school.\n
\nThe Role\n

• Teaching Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4
\n
• Full-time maternity cover from January 2027
\n
• Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons
\n
• Supporting students to make strong academic progress
\n
• Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Geography department
\n
• Contributing to the wider life of the school
\n

The Ideal CandidateThe school is looking for a Geography Teacher who:\n
\n

\n
• Has Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or relevant teaching experience
\n
• Has a strong knowledge of the Geography curriculum
\n
• Can deliver engaging and effective lessons
\n
• Has high expectations of students
\n
• Is organised, reliable and committed
\n
• Works well as part of a wider school team
\n
