Qualifications

• childcare and education qualification equivalent to NVQ level 3, along with previous experience managing a room or team within a nursery setting.
• A current First Aid qualification, a sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), and thorough knowledge of safeguarding procedures are required.
• While a formal management qualification is desirable, it is not essential.

Responsibilities

• support the implementation of the EYFS, oversee planning and record-keeping, and promote partnerships with parents and carers.
• develop and maintain professional relationships with local authorities, regulatory bodies, and other agencies.
• staying updated with current developments in childcare and education policies, assisting with nursery accounts, and preparing for staff and parent meetings.
