Location: Manchester\n
Contract: Temporary / Agency\n
PAYE Rate: £25.38 per hour\n
Limited/Umbrella Rate: £34.50 per hour\n

\nService Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Family Court Adviser to work within the Manchester area.\n
\n
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Children’s Social Worker looking to use their safeguarding, assessment and court experience within a specialist Family Court setting.\n
\n
The Role\n
\nAs a Family Court Adviser, you will provide advanced social work support to children, families and the courts within family proceedings.\n
\n
\nYou will ensure that the welfare, wishes, feelings and safeguarding of children remain central to decision-making, undertaking complex assessments and providing professional recommendations to the court.\n
\n
\nKey responsibilities will include:\n
\n

- Undertaking detailed assessments of children and families \n
- Identifying and analysing safeguarding and welfare concerns \n
- Completing direct work with children and families \n
- Preparing high-quality reports and recommendations for the Family Court \n
- Providing professional advice to courts regarding child welfare and protection \n
- Managing complex and potentially high-conflict family situations \n
- Working collaboratively with families, legal professionals, local authorities and other agencies \n
- Maintaining accurate and timely case records \n
- Managing a complex caseload effectively and working within required court timescales \n
Work After First Hearing (WAFH)The role will involve Work After First Hearing, including detailed assessments following the initial court hearing.\n
\n
\nYou will undertake direct work with children and families, prepare reports for the court and provide ongoing professional recommendations to help achieve the best possible outcomes for children.\n
\nPrivate Law\n
\n
\nYou will also work with Private Law cases, including disputes between parents or carers concerning child arrangements such as contact and where a child should live.\n
\n
\nAs the Family Court Adviser, you will assess any welfare and safeguarding concerns, provide advice to the court and support families to remain focused on the needs and best interests of the child.\n

Requirements\n
\nTo be considered for this position, you will need:\n
\n
- \n
- A recognised Social Work qualification \n
- Current Social Work England registration \n
- A minimum of 3 years' post-qualifying experience working with children and families \n
- Strong experience in safeguarding, risk assessment and complex case management \n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills \n
- Strong analytical and report-writing abilities \n
- Confidence working with children and families experiencing conflict or complex circumstances \n
- Ability to manage sensitive situations professionally and work effectively under pressure \n
- Good IT and case recording skills \n
Experience within Family Court proceedings, Private Law, safeguarding, assessment or court work would be particularly beneficial.\n
