\n Service Care Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Family Court Adviser to join a specialist team supporting children, families, and the courts throughout family proceedings. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Children's Social Worker looking to develop their court work experience within a highly rewarding setting.\n
\n
\n The Role As a Family Court Adviser, you will provide expert social work support and advice to the courts, ensuring the welfare and safeguarding of children remains at the heart of all decision-making. You will assess risk, analyse complex family situations, undertake direct work with children and families, and provide informed recommendations to assist the court in achieving the best possible outcomes for children.\n

\n Key Responsibilities\n

- Completing detailed assessments and analysing complex family situations \n
- Working directly with children, parents, and wider family networks \n
- Preparing high-quality reports and recommendations for court proceedings \n
- Identifying and managing safeguarding and welfare concerns \n
- Providing expert advice to courts on child protection and family welfare matters \n
- Maintaining accurate case records and managing a varied caseload \n
Areas of Work Work After First Hearing (WAFH)\n

- Undertaking work following the initial court hearing \n
- Completing detailed assessments and direct work with families \n
- Producing reports and recommendations to support court decisions \n
Private Law\n

- Managing cases involving disputes between parents or carers regarding child arrangements \n
- Assessing welfare and safeguarding concerns \n
- Supporting families to remain focused on the child's needs and best interests \n
Requirements\n
- \n
- Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification \n
- Minimum 3 years' post-qualified experience working with children and families \n
- Strong assessment, report writing, communication, and case management skills \n
- Experience within Children's Services such as:\n
- \n
- Child Protection \n
- Looked After Children (LAC) \n
- Duty & Assessment \n
- MASH \n
- Fostering \n
- Safeguarding Teams \n
\n - Ability to manage sensitive and high-conflict situations professionally \n
