Audit Senior

We are seeking an Audit Senior for a well-established accountancy practice at its Banbury office. The ideal candidate will be recently qualified ACA or ACCA and have considerable audit experience gained within a UK accountancy firm.

Working closely with Directors, the role will provide opportunities to take responsibility for a varied client portfolio, supervising and supporting junior colleagues.

Supporting the Directors, as Audit Senior your responsibilities will include:

• Taking full responsibility for the delivery of audits for complex clients
• Planning and scoping audit assignments effectively, including allocating resources, setting deadlines and establishing clear and appropriate terms of reference
• Managing and undertaking audit assignments efficiently and effectively
• Identifying key risks to business objectives, evaluating and testing internal controls, and making practical recommendations for improvement
• Liaising with Directors and clients throughout the planning and delivery of audits
• Preparing clear, accurate and high-quality audit reports for presentation to Directors and clients
• Managing systems development and advisory assignments, undertaking more complex areas of work and advising Directors on issues with significant risk or control implications
• Liaising directly with clients to provide financial information, guidance and advice
• Supporting Directors with client management and assisting in the development and supervision of junior team members
