Closing Room Supervisor Required - Northampton
Quest Employment are currently recruiting for an experienced Closing Room Supervisor to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Northampton, NN1.
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous supervisory experience within a footwear, garment, textile or manufacturing environment. The role would suit someone who has a strong eye for detail, understands production flow, and can support a team to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.
The Role
As a Closing Room Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the department, ensuring production targets, quality standards and workflow are maintained.
Your duties may include:
- Supervising the Closing Room team and supporting daily production
- Monitoring quality standards throughout the department
- Carrying out regular spot checks and ensuring work meets required standards
- Allocating work based on team skills, priorities and production needs
- Liaising with planning, managers and other departments to maintain production flow
- Reporting any production issues or delays promptly
- Supporting booking in and booking out processes where required
- Providing guidance, support and constructive feedback to team members
- Ensuring machinery, equipment and the room are maintained correctly
- Supporting hands-on production work when required
- Promoting a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Following all health and safety procedures
What We're Looking For

- Have previous experience in a similar supervisory role
- Have experience within footwear, garment, textile or manufacturing environments
- Have strong attention to detail and a quality-focused approach
- Are confident managing workflow and production priorities
- Have good communication and team leadership skills
- Can work closely with other departments and managers
- Are proactive, organised and able to support change within a department
- Are happy to be hands-on and support production when needed
