Job description
We are in need of a pre-litigation fee earner. Job specification for both is the same and is as follows:
Key Tasks
- A high-volume caseload of Fast Track Personal Injury RTA Portal claims following the MOJ process.
- Progressing your caseload in a manner to ensure that clients receive appropriate, professional, timely and pertinent legal advice, with regular contact, whilst managing their expectations.
- To identify early those cases where proceedings would be tactically beneficial to litigate and to do so expeditiously.
- Identify cases that have an element of serious injury and escalatethe cases and remove form the Portal. You will be supervised and supported by a recognised solicitor within the team.
- Instructing Barristers to represent clients at hearings and obtain formal Advice over issues of quantum.
- Instructing Medical Agencies and Engineers and liaising with third parties.
- Undertaking other duties reasonably required by partners or senior management.
Person Specification
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- A good understanding of the MOJ process.
- Experience in dealing with Credit Hire Companies.
- Knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules.
- Have proven IT skills and ability to adapt new technology.
- Able to demonstrate strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills including oral and written presentation skills.
- The ability to provide a high level of client care.
Desirable Skills
- Preferably claimant orientated.
- Proficient with Proclaim Case Management, although training will be provided.
- Experience of Infant Approval Hearings and Stage 3 hearings.
