Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician to join our client’s thriving franchise-approved service centre in Talbot Green. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional looking to develop their career within a reputable, family-run car dealer group.

  • - Competitive salary ranging from £30,000 to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience
  • - Performance-related bonus averaging approximately £4,800 per year (£400 per month)

  • - 22 days annual holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service length

  • - Working hours Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
  • - Conduct fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs according to manufacturer and dealership standards
  • - Accurately diagnose vehicle faults and report on vehicle conditions, including safety, reliability, and performance
  • - Adhere strictly to quality procedures and manufacturer guidelines
  • - Maintain high standards of workmanship in a busy franchise environment
  • - Work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and sharing technical expertise
  • - Assist in vehicle inspections, MOT testing (if qualified), and service-related tasks
  • - Report complex issues to the Service Manager, providing detailed diagnostics reports

Requirements for the Vehicle Technician position:

  • - Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • - At least one to two years of post-qualification experience
  • - Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
  • - Motivated, committed, and a team player
  • - Ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
  • - Experience with vehicle electronics, diagnosis, or light commercial vehicles is advantageous but not essential
  • - An active MOT Smart Card and relevant diagnosis experience are preferred
