Work Environment
This position is located onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in Sparks, Nevada, where team collaboration and continuous learning are emphasized. As a floater therapist, you will work in a variety of clinic environments, adapting to different electronic medical records (EMR) systems and workflows. The role involves commuting between clinics, providing flexibility and exposure to various treatment philosophies and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, individualized patient care in alignment with professional standards and clinic protocols.
- Efficiently adapt to different EMRs and clinic workflows to ensure seamless integration into diverse clinical teams.
- Fill in for staff physical therapists who may be on vacation or leave, ensuring consistent care during high-volume periods.
- Work collaboratively with referring physicians, clinic directors, and interdisciplinary teams to create comprehensive care plans.
- Engage in regular system-wide meetings and continuing education sessions to stay updated with the latest in the field of physical therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will serve a varied patient population predominantly focused on orthopedic conditions. Your role will involve treating individuals ranging from post-surgical patients to those managing chronic pain or sports-related injuries. Your adaptable approach will cater to patients of all ages, contributing toward improved functional outcomes and overall quality of life.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program is required.
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Nevada.
- Demonstrated strong clinical reasoning and interpersonal skills essential for successful patient interaction.
- Willingness to travel and commute between clinic locations, fostering flexibility in your work environment.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care.
Preferred Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in orthopedic and/or sports therapy settings.
- Experience or interest in obtaining Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) certification.
- Familiarity with multiple EMR systems to ensure a smooth workflow and enhance patient documentation processes.
Compensation and Benefits
The compensation for this position ranges from $80,000 to $90,000 annually, based on your qualifications and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer:
