Site Manager - Cambridgeshire

A high-achieving school in Cambridge is seeking an experienced and dependable Site Manager to join its support team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and organised professional to take responsibility for the day-to-day management, maintenance and security of the school site. The Role The successful Site Manager will play a key role in ensuring the school premises are safe, secure, well maintained and fully operational. You will work closely with school leaders, staff and external contractors to manage facilities effectively and respond promptly to any maintenance or site-related issues. Key responsibilities include: Managing the daily operation and maintenance of the school site Carrying out regular checks of buildings, grounds and facilities Coordinating repairs, maintenance and improvement works Managing contractors and monitoring completed work Supporting health and safety, compliance and site security procedures Maintaining accurate records relating to inspections and maintenance Responding to urgent repairs and facilities issues Helping ensure the school provides a safe and welcoming environment What the School is Looking For The school is looking for a proactive, reliable and well-organised Site Manager with strong practical skills. Previous experience in a school, commercial premises, facilities or estates environment would be advantageous. You should be confident working independently, prioritising tasks and communicating effectively with staff, contractors and senior leaders. A good understanding of health and safety and premises management is highly desirable.
