📍 Location: Newham, East London 📅 Start: ASAP 💼 Contract: Temporary to Permanent ⏰ Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm 💷 Rate: £160–£170 per day Join a Thriving Secondary Science Team We're working with a secondary school in Newham that is looking for an experienced Senior Science Technician to join the department immediately. This is not simply a short-term cover position. The school is looking for someone who could become a permanent member of the team, with the temporary period providing an opportunity for both sides to assess the fit. Day-to-Day Responsibilities The successful candidate will help ensure the Science Department is fully prepared for practical teaching across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. You'll be involved in: Preparing practicals and demonstrations Setting up and clearing away laboratory equipment Supporting teachers during practical activities Managing chemicals, apparatus and consumables Maintaining and checking scientific equipment Monitoring stock and placing orders Ensuring prep rooms and laboratories remain organised Maintaining appropriate safety records Supporting other technicians within the department What You'll Bring Previous experience working as a Science Technician in a secondary school is essential. We're looking for someone who is confident, hands-on and highly organised, with a strong understanding of laboratory health and safety.
