Premises Manager Required for Independent School inBlandford Forum

Location: Blandford Forum, Dorset Role: Premises Manager Start Date: ASAP Salary: Dependent on experience An established independent school in Blandford Forum, Dorset is looking for an experienced Premises Manager to take responsibility for the effective operation, maintenance and security of its school site. This is a varied position that would suit someone with a strong practical background who is confident managing contractors, prioritising maintenance requirements and ensuring that buildings and grounds are maintained to a high standard. Working closely with the school’s leadership and operations teams, you will oversee both planned and reactive maintenance across the site. You will be expected to identify maintenance requirements, arrange appropriate repairs and ensure contractors complete work safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Overseeing the daily operation of the premises Managing planned and reactive maintenance Carrying out regular site inspections Coordinating external contractors Monitoring the condition of buildings and grounds Supporting compliance and health and safety requirements Managing site security and access Organising deliveries and waste arrangements Maintaining premises documentation Supporting events and occasional out-of-hours site requirements Previous experience as a Premises Manager, Site Manager, Facilities Manager, Caretaker or Maintenance Supervisor would be beneficial. The school is looking for someone who can take ownership of the site, work proactively and respond calmly when unexpected issues arise.
