Job Opportunity

Our Recovery Workers play a vital role in supporting clients to identify their goals, ambitions, and passions. You’ll work with them to create the best treatment plan for their needs and to guide them on their path to recovery. As part of your role, you will be the first point of contact for the service, including taking referrals, doing assessments, covering staff absence and answering telephone queries.

This is a frontline role at WithYou, where you will provide continuity of care through effective partnership working, care coordination, key work responsibilities, and intervention delivery. You will manage an active caseload, connecting quickly with clients and ensuring they’re always treated with respect and dignity.

This position is offered on a full time, fixed term basis until 31st March 2028, working 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday. Some Saturday working will be required to meet the needs of the service. The role is based in Oswestry in our North Shropshire team, with some travel to our other sites in Shropshire.

Essential Skills

We’re looking for a compassionate and motivated individual, with an exceptional ability to build meaningful relationships. You will have demonstrable experience working within the health, social care, criminal justice or other specialist setting, or a clear motivation for wanting to work in the drug and alcohol sector. A successful track record of providing efficient and reliable customer service is essential.

You will be highly organised, have excellent communication skills, and be able to manage your time effectively. You will work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure a high-quality service is maintained. You will also have a proven ability to carry out comprehensive assessments, assess risk, devise care plans and deliver evidence based interventions.

Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about what we do and has a positive and engaging approach to our clients and key stakeholders. If you think this could be the career for you, take the first step and apply now to join our amazing team at WithYou.

We know that representing the communities we serve is key to us meeting our vision of a future where everyone lives a life free from the harm associated with drugs and alcohol. We welcome the unique contributions that you can bring and we encourage people from underrepresented communities and backgrounds to apply to join our team, including people with lived experience, people with disabilities, people from racialised communities, LGBTQ+ people, people of all ages and armed forces veterans.
