Childcare Solicitor – Leicester
Salary: Up to £60,000 DOE

A well-established law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Childcare Solicitor to join its growing family law team in Leicester.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven childcare lawyer looking to join a supportive team and take on a varied caseload, working on complex and rewarding matters involving children and families.

The Role
You will advise and represent clients across a broad range of childcare proceedings, including:

• Care proceedings
• Emergency Protection Orders (EPOs)
• Special Guardianship Orders
• Adoption matters
• Private law applications, including Rule 16.4 cases
• Separate representation of competent children
• Advocacy and representation at hearings

You will be expected to manage your own caseload effectively, provide clear and practical legal advice, and work with minimal supervision.

About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:

• 5+ years' PQE in childcare law, although relevant experience will be considered
• Strong advocacy and case management experience
• Experience dealing with a broad range of public and private children matters
• Children's Panel accreditation, or be actively working towards accreditation, would be advantageous
• An established guardian following would be welcomed
• Excellent communication and client care skills
• The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a wider team
• A compassionate and professional approach when dealing with sensitive matters
• A genuine commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children and families
