Next month, Sticks'n'Sushi is coming to Birmingham - our first restaurant in the Midlands, opening in the Paradise development on Chamberlain Square.

Sticks'n'Sushi is as unique as the city we're coming to. We serve high-quality, fresh food based on a unique combination of classic and creative sushi along with sticks from the grill, created by our 'Strange Fish'.

Fish are like us: we all swim together. But Strange Fish are bold, curious individuals who fit right in here. Those who are comfortable just being themselves, a little different perhaps. You will have walked a similar path before, but your spirit is ready for a role on our bar, where many things are happening at the same time. So, we hope you're up for bringing your spark and big smile to the newest addition to the Sticks 'n' Sushi family.

What you'll be doing at Sticks 'n' Sushi

• Ensure our bar service standards are carried out at the highest level and always prioritise the needs of the guests.
• Ensure that standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the bar and restaurant
• Continuously develop knowledge of our new products and concepts
• Be the face of our values, culture and brand, helping our guests to leave the real world behind for a little while
• Bring passion, energy, and personality to the bar
• Learn about Danish & Japanese culture, ingredients, and service style - so when you recommend a drink, pour sake or guide the guest through our menu, your focus is on mastering your craft

What you'll bring to us

• Experience in a busy bar, knowing how to give great service and make people happy
• Strong cocktail mixology knowledge, able to craft a classic without looking at a recipe
• A true spark of energy, full of passion for hospitality
• A love of learning and keeping your hands busy. You flow like water - calm under pressure
• Kindness, respect and a 'big smile, small ego'

How we will support your journey with us

We will begin training 2 weeks before opening so that you can fully learn our menus, history, culture and stories. Once you have joined us you can continue to develop your skills at our Lead'n'Learn academy, where structured training prepares you for new responsibilities and success in your role. We are proud to have a genuine focus on training and development, helping our teams to progress within the business.
