Warrington, Cheshire . This is an excellent opportunity offering £17.30 per hour, overtime at £24.89 per hour after 48 hours, a guaranteed minimum of 12 paid hours per shift, fully paid breaks and ongoing work with an established logistics business. £17.30 Per Hour | £24.89 Overtime | Minimum 12 Hours Paid Per Shift | Paid Breaks | Weekly Pay | Ongoing Work This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as an LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, Rigid HGV Driver or Multi-Drop Delivery Driver. Shifts • Five days out of seven, including some weekend working • Early morning starts between 1:00am and 4:00am • Minimum of 12 hours paid per shift Rates of Pay • £17.30 per hour for standard hours, up to 48 hours • £24.89 per hour for overtime after 48 hours • Minimum of 12 hours paid per shift • All breaks fully paid • Weekly pay Benefits As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will receive: • Ongoing work with an established logistics company • Guaranteed minimum of 12 paid hours per shift • Fully paid breaks • Overtime opportunities at £24.89 per hour after 48 hours • Weekly pay • Comprehensive training programme • Opportunity to work with an established and reputable business Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include: • Driving Category C vehicles safely and efficiently • Completing approximately six to seven deliveries to stores across the UK each day • Maintaining correct load temperatures throughout deliveries • Safely unloading cages using a tail lift and delivering them into stores • Taking photographs to document successful deliveries • Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations • Reporting customer concerns promptly to management • Completing vehicle checks and reporting defects where necessary Essential Skills • Minimum of six months' HGV Class 2 driving experience • Valid UK Category C Driving Licence • Valid Driver CPC Card • Valid Digital Tachograph Card • No more than six penalty points for minor offences • No major endorsements, including DR10, DG10, IN10 or TT99 • Strong customer service and communication skills • Good spoken and written English • Excellent timekeeping and reliability Desirable Experience • Previous experience completing multi-drop store deliveries • Experience with temperature-controlled deliveries • Experience using tail lifts and handling delivery cages Training Provided • First-day assessment • Two weeks of training alongside an experienced permanent team member • Industry-related training provided • Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment Apply If you are an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver looking for ongoing work in Warrington, please apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch.
