Key Responsibilities: Perform complex machining operations on CNC milling machines and read and understand G-code Mentor fellow employees to resolve complex machining problems Write and edit complex CNC programs to support production requirements providing optimum manufacturing cost and quality.

Set and operate 3, 4, and 5 axis machines Read and understand Technical drawings Produce quality parts in a timely manner Verify conformance of finished workpieces to specifications using precision measuring instruments. Collaborate with machinists, Engineering, and Product/Production Management to solve problems and improve processes.

Provide hands-on leadership/training for all team members across shifts for all stages and processes within the CNC department.

Establish and maintain a safe working environment, reporting any safety concerns and preventative measures.

Support the “Production Board” by monitoring the daily performance/execution to the routed hours, including quality product to specification and on time.

Support management to conduct employee performance reviews, provide frequent constructive feedback to your team or report any performance concerns up to management where appropriate Identify and implement necessary team training and development to enhance and/or maintain team skill levels Other duties as assigned What you'll bring: Required HNC/HND (Mechanical, Manufacturing Technology or Industrial Technology) or equivalent experience in a related field Proven machining experience on CNC equipment or using CNC solid modeling (turning and milling) Delcam or MasterCam Programming experience Extensive knowledge of machine functions (G code, M code, Offsets, etc) Strong leadership and communication skills Preferred Lean Manufacturing Previous experience in leadership position Previous manufacturing experience in the vacuum industry Benefits: Competitive salary 25 days annual leave + bank holidays Matched pension up to 5% Health Cash Plan offering £600 per annum towards your standard healthcare costs for both you and your family, plus access to a free 24-hour doctor service Income protection insurance Cycle to work scheme Enhanced maternity/paternity pay Corporate, wellness and charity events throughout the year with the option to earn an extra day of annual leave Please note we have a PSL in place and are unable to accept speculative CV’s from recruitment agencies.
