Pharmacy Assistant

Key responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and provide helpful, professional service at the counter
• Accurately dispense and label prescriptions under the supervision of the pharmacist
• Assist with over-the-counter sales and offer general healthcare advice within your remit
• Manage stock, including ordering, receiving deliveries and rotating products
• Handle prescription queries and liaise with local GP surgeries when needed
• Keep the pharmacy clean, tidy and well-presented at all times
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all standard operating procedures

What we're looking for:

• A warm, approachable manner and genuine care for customer wellbeing
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a small team
• Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks
• Reliability, discretion and a professional attitude
• Basic IT skills and confidence learning pharmacy systems
• Previous experience in a pharmacy or retail healthcare setting is desirable but not essential
• A willingness to undertake an accredited Pharmacy Assistant qualification (NVQ Level 2) if not already held
