About the Role

We are looking for a hardworking, reliable and enthusiastic Grounds Maintenance & Hot Tub Assistant to join our team at Keswick Reach, one of Darwin Escapes’ beautiful holiday destinations.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining high standards and is passionate about providing guests with a clean, safe and well-presented environment.

In this hands-on role, you will support the day-to-day upkeep of the park grounds and the cleaning, maintenance and servicing of hot tubs across our accommodation. Your work will play an important part in ensuring our guests enjoy a high-quality and memorable stay.

This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week, with variable working days including weekends and bank holidays.

The role would suit someone who is practical, proactive and dependable, with the ability to work independently while also being a positive member of the wider team.

Maintaining the park to a high standard is essential to delivering the experience our guests expect. Working as part of a supportive team, you will help ensure the grounds, accommodation exteriors and hot tub facilities remain clean, safe and well presented throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general grounds maintenance, including grass cutting, strimming, planting, pruning and landscaping.
  • Clean, maintain and service hot tubs to ensure they meet company quality and safety standards.
  • Test and monitor hot tub water quality and maintain correct chemical levels.
  • Carry out regular checks of hot tubs, plant equipment, grounds and outdoor areas.
  • Ensure grounds, accommodation exteriors and hot tub areas are clean, tidy and well presented.
  • Assist with routine maintenance and minor repairs across the park.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance and hot tub-related requests.
  • Safely handle, store and use chemicals in accordance with health and safety procedures.
  • Support with waste management and the general upkeep of the park.
  • Operate grounds maintenance and maintenance equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Report faults, damage or potential safety issues to the appropriate team member.
  • Work closely with housekeeping, maintenance and other departments to support an excellent overall guest experience.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures and health and safety requirements.
  • Maintain a consistently high standard of cleanliness, presentation and workmanship across the park.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in grounds maintenance, facilities, maintenance or a similar practical role is desirable.
  • Experience working with hot tubs, pools or water treatment would be advantageous, although full training can be provided.
  • Practical skills and a good understanding of basic maintenance tasks.
  • An understanding of health and safety procedures, particularly when working with chemicals, machinery and maintenance equipment.
  • The ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • A proactive, flexible and positive approach to work.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A strong work ethic and reliable approach to attendance and timekeeping.
  • Good communication skills and a willingness to support colleagues across the park.
  • A commitment to maintaining consistently high standards for our guests.

About The Role

Additional Information

This is a permanent, full-time role working 40 hours per week and will require flexibility to work variable days, including weekends and bank holidays, in line with business needs.

The role is primarily outdoors and will involve working in varying weather conditions. It will also involve regular physical activity and manual handling, including lifting and carrying equipment and materials and operating grounds maintenance machinery.

The role involves the safe handling, storage and use of chemicals. Full training and appropriate guidance will be provided to ensure all tasks are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures.
