We are looking to recruit a full time Conveyancing Assistant to join our thriving Residential Conveyancing Department in Lincoln.
The Conveyancing Assistant duties include:
- Typing of correspondence, reports, and other documents - including some audio typing.
- Opening and closing files.
- Arranging client appointments.
- Progression of case management under supervision.
- Updating third party portals - such as Land Registry, LMS and Lender Exchange
- Answering telephone calls promptly, taking messages and following up where necessary.
- Exchanging of contracts and progressing files to completion.
- Using own initiative and being able to work as part of a team.
- Undertaking departmental systems administration and third-party reporting.
The ideal candidate must:
Have a high level of confidentiality.
Have an in depth understanding of the legal assistant role and administration processes.
Have excellent organisational and communication skills.
Be able to work as part of a team and communicate the team's needs to others.
Be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Be able to prioritise and organise workload.
Be reliable and diligent, with good attention to detail.
Be able to organise, influence and monitor the allocation of work amongst the team (in a co-ordinating role)
Qualifications and Experience
A good level of education
A minimum of 2 years' experience in a law firm or within a similar environment would be preferable.
