Indoor Stockperson - Suffolk - £30,000 - £35,000 + Accommodation / Support
The Job:
We are recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated Indoor Stockperson to join a friendly, family run pig farm near Framlingham, Suffolk. The farm operates a 340-sow farrow to finish unit, offering an excellent opportunity for someone with some previous pig farming experience to develop their skills and gain wider experience across all areas of a breeding unit.
Working as part of a small and experienced team, you will be involved in the day to day care and management of the pigs, maintaining high standards of welfare, hygiene and biosecurity.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of pig welfare, health and husbandry
- Monitor pigs closely and report any health or welfare concerns
- Support the wider team across the breeding unit
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and biosecurity
- Follow farm procedures and ensure work is completed to a high standard
- Work as part of a small, experienced team
- Develop knowledge and practical skills across all areas of the unit

Our client is a friendly, family run pig farming business operating a 340 sow farrow to finish unit near Framlingham, Suffolk. The farm provides a supportive working environment and the opportunity to develop your experience across a modern breeding operation.
The Candidate
- Some previous experience working with pigs, with a basic understanding of pig welfare and husbandry
- Enthusiastic, hardworking and keen to develop their skills within the pig industry
- Good attention to detail and a genuine commitment to high standards of animal welfare
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a small team
- Reliable and comfortable working in a hands-on farming environment
- Willingness to learn and take on responsibility across different areas of the unit
The Package
- Salary £30,000 - £35,000 per annum DOE
- Accommodation support available for a single person or couple where on farm accommodation is unavailable
- Financial assistance towards suitable rented accommodation
- Opportunity to develop experience across all areas of a breeding unit

Candidate Requirements
All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
