Protocol Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistants to work across a range of secondary schools in Halifax. We are looking for individuals who are committed to making a positive impact on students' learning and development.
The Role
As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Work with small groups or on a one-to-one basis to support learning
- Assist students with additional learning needs
- Encourage positive behaviour and classroom engagement
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Provide pastoral support where required
The Ideal Candidate
We are keen to hear from candidates who:
- Have experience working with young people in schools, education, sports coaching, youth work, care, or mentoring roles
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Are patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic
- Hold a degree or relevant qualification (desirable but not essential)
- Have a genuine passion for supporting secondary-aged students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
