This is more than just a job — it’s a chance to build a trusted connection with one child and make a genuine difference in her life.
About the role:
Active Assistance are expanding our client base, and have a new children's care package in Penarth.
This role is to support our brand new client, an 11 year old girl, in her family home and out in the community. Our client has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, has a VP shunt, and is non-verbal and has behavioural challenges. You will be working alongside another support worker for all shifts (2:1 care).
We require candidates that hold a full UK drivers licence to be able to drive the client's vehicle, to take her out into the community.
When you will be working:
- Tuesday and Thursday evenings (3pm-7pm) and Saturdays (7hr long day shift) - please note that this is for term time and in school holiday time will change to Tues/Thurs/Sat 12pm-5pm
- We will also have sleeping nights (10pm-8am) available from October
In this role, you’ll support one individual with complex needs as part of a consistent care team, with regular weekly shifts and rotas planned in advance. While the role is offered on a flexible zero-hours contract, the work is ongoing and typically provides a stable working pattern with the same client.
What to look forward to:
- Earn up to £13.50 per hour (depending on experience) - you’ll also receive an additional 14.07% holiday pay on every hour worked
- Advanced monthly rotas
- Full specialist training, shadow shifts, and ongoing support from your Care Manager
- Access to the Active Learning Hub – e-learning & in-person development
- Nest pension
- Be recognised through our Active Awards programme
- Refer a friend and earn up to £1,500
- A chance to build a meaningful career with the backing of a leading clinical and business team
