Role: Maintrol Engineer

Location: Manchester

Hours: 554 shift pattern

Salary: 79812 inclusive of shift pay

We are looking for an experienced Maintrol Engineer to join a busy airline maintenance control operation in Manchester.

Acting as the central coordination point between Line Stations third-party maintenance providers and flight crews to support safe and reliable daily operations.

What Youll Do

  • Managing scheduled and unscheduled Line Maintenance activity in accordance with regulatory requirements and the approved maintenance programme.
  • Monitoring and controlling Acceptable Deferred Defects (ADDs) driving timely rectification and coordinating the necessary spares tooling and technical documentation.
  • Supporting aircraft recovery by providing technical guidance and coordinating engineering logistics and operational requirements.
  • Providing real-time technical support to flight crews and engineers during in-flight and ground-based technical events.
  • Coordinating the flow of technical information following aircraft incidents and contributing to aircraft recovery plans.
  • Supporting aircraft allocation decisions in line with operational engineering and maintenance priorities.
  • Proactively using aircraft monitoring and prognostic tools to identify opportunities to improve aircraft reliability and engineering performance.
  • Providing specialist technical support while balancing safety regulatory technical and commercial considerations.

Experience & Qualifications

Essential:

  • UK CAA and/or EASA Part-66 B1 or B2 Aircraft Maintenance Licence.
  • Previous experience within an aircraft maintenance or maintenance control environment.
  • Good understanding of airline operations engineering procedures and maintenance requirements.
  • Experience identifying and delivering practical cost-effective technical solutions.
  • Good computer literacy including experience with Microsoft Office and ideally aircraft maintenance or engineering systems.
  • Experience working with Embraer E170/E190 aircraft or comparable modern commercial aircraft types.
  • Experience contributing to engineering efficiency aircraft reliability or operational cost-reduction initiatives.

Salary & Benefits

The role offers a salary of 79812 inclusive of shift pay together with eligibility for a non-contractual discretionary incentive award.
