Job description

Public Health Specialist Practitioner needed in Grays Paying £205.05 per hr ref OR111094 Full time hours on a temporarybasis Key Responsibilities * Lead and support public health projects, programmes and initiatives that improve population health and wellbeing. * Undertake Health Needs Assessments (HNAs), contribute to Joint Strategic Needs Assessments (JSNAs), and use epidemiological data to inform service planning and commissioning. * Analyse and interpret health intelligence, statistics and research evidence to support decision-making and service improvement. * Apply public health principles, health promotion models and evidence-based practice to address health inequalities and the wider determinants of health. * Work collaboratively with NHS organisations, local authorities, community groups and other stakeholders to develop and deliver effective public health interventions. * Support the commissioning, monitoring and evaluation of public health services to ensure quality, effectiveness and value for money. * Contribute to quality improvement, clinical governance and assurance processes across public health programmes. * Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies and national and local public health strategies. * Promote partnership working across health and social care to improve outcomes for diverse communities. * Maintain professional competencies and continuing professional development in line with Public Health Knowledge and Skills Framework (PHSKF) standards.
