About the Role This is a busy, people-facing role sitting at the heart of the HR Operations function at CMR Surgical. You will own the end-to-end employee experience from the moment someone accepts an offer to the day they leave and everything in between, including coordinating all our learning and development activity. CMR Surgical operates across multiple countries and regions, so a comfort with global working and an awareness of how people processes vary across jurisdictions will be important. Alongside this specialist focus, both HR Operations Advisors share responsibility for the day-to-day running of HR Ops: benefits administration, payroll support, data reporting, and being a first point of contact for people queries. This is a role suited to someone who brings strong operational discipline and the confidence to work with managers and employees across a globally dispersed organisation. This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with a minimum of 3 days a week being based in the office. Responsibilities HR Operations — day-to-day (shared responsibilities) * Administer employee benefits enrolments, changes, and routine employee queries. * Support monthly global payroll administration: collate and submit accurate payroll data to providers and EOR partners, and resolve routine pay queries in a timely manner. * Act as a first point of contact for employee and manager HR queries; log, triage, and resolve at Tier 1 via the HR ticketing system, escalating where needed. * Produce regular HR Operations reports covering key people data: headcount, joiners and leavers, absence, and any metrics relevant to the functions SLAs and compliance obligations. * Identify and flag opportunities to improve HR Ops processes, policies, and systems; contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help embed better ways of working across the team. * Contribute to the HR Ops knowledge base and Tier 0 self‑service content, keeping FAQs and politi‑cy guidance accurate and up to date. * Support HR Ops audit readiness and general administrative tasks as required to keep the function running smoothly. Employee Lifecycle * Issue employment contracts and offer documentation using current, country‑approved templates across all CMR locations. * Run new starter onboarding logistics for global hires: right‑to‑work checks, equipment and ac‑cess requests, induction scheduling, and country‑specific compliance requirements. * Manage the leaver process end‑to‑end globally, including the access and IP offboarding checklist (systems, quality documentation, building access). * Maintain probation tracking and prompt managers ahead of key review dates across all regions. * Keep the employee lifecycle section of the single HR data source accurate and up to date. * Support skilled worker visa and immigration administration processes in liaison with external providers where needed. Learning & Development Administration * Coordinate all employee training activity including Manager Fundamentals, individual training requests, and apprenticeship administration. * Track training attendance, manage learning surveys, and compile reports to measure learning impact. * Maintain L&D documentation and ensure all learning records are accurate and up to date. * Keep the intranet (The Street) Talent & Development sections current and accurate. * Administer the employee recognition programme in line with the current recognition framework. We’d expect you to be willing to turn your hand to anything within the HR Operations remit that helps the team deliver its objectives. About you To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have/be: * HR operations or advisory experience ideally covering onboarding/offboarding. * Experience of, or genuine appetite for, global working — comfortable managing people processes across multiple countries and time zones. * Organised and reliable, with the ability to manage multiple recurring processes to hard dead‑lines across a geographically dispersed population. * Clear written and verbal communication; confident engaging with employees and managers across different cultures and locations. * Comfortable working with HRIS systems and MS Office; accurate data entry and record‑keeping. * People‑oriented with strong attention to detail — you enjoy getting the process right so the employee experience is seamless wherever someone is based. * Comfortable sharing day‑to‑day HR Ops responsibilities including payroll and benefits administration as part of a small, mutually supportive team. * Sound judgment on when to escape, particularly on cross‑border or jurisdiction‑specific matters. * CIPD qualification (Level 3 minimum; Level 5 desirable).
